Third Party Liability Insurance

Third party liability insurance is designed for protecting the pet owners from losses resulting out of damages caused by their pets to others' property or lives. This insurance policy is generally meant for pet owners of vicious dogs. But some policies will provide coverage for cats also. Since cats do not pose any threats, the coverage for cats is very rare.

As its name suggests, this insurance policy provides liability coverage to the pet owners whose pets have caused damage to the property or health of others. It also includes the coverage for animal attack on other animals as well. Apart from the standard pet coverage, the third party liability insurance is allotted as a secondary coverage for owners of aggressive dogs.

As with many other kinds of insurance, this policy also reimburse pet owners incase they are found liable due to pet attack. The reimbursement process is also similar to other types of coverage. But this policy requires the pet owners to submit the claim, summons, writs, insurance policy number, reports and other documents as evidence for the attack.
