Certificate of Insurance

A certificate of insurance is a document issued by a pet insurance company that shows that your pet is covered under their insurance policy. It will contain the details of the pet owner and the pet, so anyone reading the policy will clearly know whether or not the pet they are looking at is the one insured in the policy. The certificate of insurance will also state the benefits offered by a particular pet insurance policy. It also should clearly state the level or coverage that the customer paid for.

If you are wondering whether or not your pet's treatment will be covered, you can check your certificate of insurance to find out what the benefits of your policy are. This is a good document to keep in your file cabinet, to be referred to as needed. Read your certificate of insurance carefully to make sure that your policy is what you intended to receive.
